The Rotary Club of Salmaniya were invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Alia Rehabilitation Center on Sunday 16th of October 2022 under the patronage of His Excellency Lieutenant General Doctor Shiekh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health. The Rotary Club of Salmaniya contributed towards the creation of the sensory garden. The Club is proud of this unique project, which is already in use by the beneficiaries of the center. The sensory garden was designed by Reem Yateem the founder of “Learn to Grow” a Holistic Permaculture learning center. This sensory garden is designed to encourage positive engagement with the five senses in autistic youths.
