The Rotary Clubs of Bahrain are very proud to successfully complete our first joint project of this new Rotary Year. @friendsofrotaryd2452 The Rotary Clubs of Salmaniya, Adliya, Rotaract Club of Bahrain and Rotary Satellite Club of Manama Youth jointly delivered school bags to the Tree of Life Charity Society on Saturday 16th July 2022 as part of the From Us to You project. The Rotary Clubs of Salmaniya, Adliya, Rotaract Club of Bahrain and Rotary Satellite Club of Manama Youth jointly sorted school bags as part of the Sustainable School Bag project on Wednesday 13th July 2022. The Clubs collected 188 School bags, with lunch boxes from very generous families all over Bahrain. All collected items have been cleaned up and sorted into tidy boxes. The aim of the project is to promote sustainable living by donating used bags to charity rather than throwing them away creating waste. The bags will be donated to two charity societies, Tree of Life Society in Saar and Al Sanabel Orphan Care Society in Busaiteen. The Rotary Club of Salmaniya celebrated its 50th year anniversary on Wednesday 8th June 2022 at the Golden Tulip Hotel. Four senior members (PP Adel Al A’ali, PP Amira Ismail, PP Khalil Shakib, and PP Seema Baqi) were asked to speak about their personal experiences and favourite memories of being a part of the Rotary in a four-person panel discussion with Deputy District Governor Dr. Dhafer Alumran chaired the panel. The Rotary Clubs of Salmaniya, Adliya, Seef Bahrain and the Rotaract Club of Bahrain jointly organized a “Gergaoon night” at Nakheel Centre on Thursday the 14th of April. The Clubs invited orphans, children battling cancer, differently-abled persons, and other beneficiaries from the following charity societies to attend: Bahrain Paralympic Committee, Dream Society, Al Kawther Society for Social Care, Janusan Charity Society, Al Noor Charity Welfare, and the Tree of Life Charity Society. Master of Ceremonies Ali Yaseen was invited to bring joy to the attendees and host the Ramadan competition. Other activities include a traditional band with “frasah” or traditional horse, henna and face painting for the children. Free coffee and Bahraini sweats were given out and the Royal Hospital provided free check-ups and consultations.
