Britus International School celebrated Children’s Day on Monday, the 20th of November. To truly honor this momentous occasion, members of the Britus Bahrain Interact Club prepared several activities that aim to promote unity between their brilliant students. The highlight for many students was the artwork of a tree painted by several talented students in the Interact Club. Many students from every grade level provided input in the creation of the artwork by stamping their fingerprints around the branches of the tree to make it appear like leaves. This simple yet creative art piece symbolizes the unity of the students and their willingness to work together for the betterment or child welfare. The tree itself references nature and growth, therefore simultaneously teaching students the importance of responsibility and the value of improving oneself. To further encourage these important life lessons all students were asked to bring potted plants. These plants were placed around the school to proudly display what the students were able to achieve on this day. @rcseefbahrain @britusbahraininteract #rotaryinternational #peopleofaction #createhopeintheworld #interactclub

The month of December is themed as Disease Prevention and Treatment Month in the Rotary International calendar: “Disease can lead to pain or poverty for millions of people worldwide. That’s why treating and preventing disease is so important to us. Our members combat diseases like malaria, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and polio. Prevention is important, which is why we also focus on health education and providing people with routine hearing, vision, and dental care. Although the world is on the brink of eradicating polio and is gaining in the battle against HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis, about 3 in 5 deaths worldwide are caused by noncommunicable diseases like heart and lung disease, diabetes, and cancer. A billion people suffer from tropical illnesses such as dengue fever, sleeping sickness, and river blindness.” Source: https://ift.tt/dQY0u1B #createhopeintheworld #peopleofaction #Diseasepreventionandtreatment #rotaryinternational

BAHRAIN CARES – A Journey from War Within to Self-Love Project BAHRAIN CARES brought together individuals who came to express their solidarity by signing a pledge with their handprints. 🖐️ Participants embarked on a journey of self-reflection, delving into their inner feeling surrounding the humanitarian crises. They selected a color that resonated with their feelings of peace, freedom, harmony, kindness, love, and friendship, and imprinted their handprint on a board, symbolizing their commitment to these values. Following this introspective exercise, participants engaged in meaningful conversations, seeking guidance in managing their emotions and gaining valuable insights from mental health professionals. They also received a free basic health checkup, with a period of self-reflection on a swing and the event concluded by lighting a candle allowing participants to complete their journey towards self-love. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported Project BAHRAIN CARES’ mission to create a world where everyone has access to peace, freedom, friendship, love, kindness, and harmony. 🙏 @rotaractbahrain #createhopeintheworld #rotarybahrain #rotaryinternational #peopleofaction
